While some wondered if Taylor would appear at any NYFW shows this week, a sporty outing to watch a fellow American Taylor (Fritz) in the US Open final is just as fun. And such great symmetry! The gingham print of this dress is sweet and breezy. It calls to mind picnics on the grass, apple pies, and Americana. In other words, a wholesome and summery piece to wear when supporting an American athlete. Love!
The brand is also a longtime Taylor staple. She’s been wearing Reformation pieces since 2012!
Taylor has been on a bit of a Louis V kick as of late, adding these monogrammed earrings to her latest run of pieces that have included two bags and a pair of boots.
Among Taylor’s style pillars include the art of the high/low (mixing high end designer pieces with more approachably priced items) and indie designers. To my eye, it looks like Taylor has added a new eyewear brand to her collection - the humourously named Crap Eyewear which are founded and designed in Los Angeles, CA.
Taylor’s jewelry was, once again, a lot of repeats. Pieces that she’s worn and loved and had in her jewelry box for awhile. Both bracelets seemingly haven’t left her wrists since she wore them to the Chiefs vs Ravens game last week. The #Tiffany ring was an addition she wore on the Eras Tour stage during the first round of dates in London. The #Foundrae crest necklace was worn back in January of this year. Set into a crest, this collection for Foundrae is a celebration of love in all its forms including romantic, platonic, and self. Taylor’s discography, of course, famously “a love letter to love itself” which makes this a perfect piece for her.
The Retrouvai pieces are also familiar. The ‘Magna’ ring Taylor wore to the Super Bowl earlier this year. The heart ring you might recognize as from the “I Bet You Think About Me” music video which Taylor’s friend Blake Lively directed. This ring also just so happens to be Blake’s. It was a bespoke commission as part of the brand’s Heirloom collection and comprises an 8-carat heart shaped rubellite set off with a halo of 2.5-carat diamonds. Designer Kirsty Stone described Blake as a “true jewelry lover” and the “incredible” opportunity it was to design something for “her personal collection.”
For a coordinating pop of red against her gingham check dress. This was a cute pairing! You might also recognize this bag from the London candids in June.

Cartier, "Chryseis" Necklace, 2024, diamonds, onyx, platinum, chalcedony, rubellite
I usually only post vintage jewelry pieces, but fell in love with this new Cartier necklace when Monica Bellucci wore it to the Venice Film Festival this year for the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice premiere. It has that wonderful Art Deco evocation while also feeling very modern. And the black and white "butterfly wings" really fit with the Beetlejuice theme.

LADY GAGA IN CELINE FOR JOKER LA PREMIERE
Lady Gaga attended the Los Angeles premiere of the upcoming "Joker: Folie à Deux" movie at the TCL Chinese Theatres last night.
Styled by Tom Eerebout and Sandra Amador, here's what she wore!
Gaga opted for a striking black gown by Celine, marking her second time wearing the designer during this press tour. While Gaga had worn Celine at the London premiere just days earlier, her choice to return to the French fashion house for the LA event was deliberate, underscoring her alignment with the film’s darker themes.
This custom piece features a structured silhouette with a mock neck, a daring side slit, and bold, billowy satin taffeta shoulders that extend into a dramatic cape-like feature at the back. The voluminous design of the shoulders, combined with the sleek and minimalist column shape, speaks to a balance between power and elegance—a signature in Gaga’s fashion narrative.
Returning to black after previous colorful and playful looks aligns with Gaga’s understanding of thematic coherence. Black is classic, authoritative, and in many ways, cinematic—especially for a film as tonally dark as this one. Her decision to wear the same designer twice during the press tour could be seen as a continuation of a narrative, tying together both premieres through a consistent aesthetic. Black also allows the focus to shift from the dress itself to the emotional gravitas of the event. It’s a color that refuses to distract, making it the perfect canvas for Gaga’s embodiment of her character.
While it might seem repetitive to some that she chose Celine again, this could signal a deeper connection between Gaga and the brand, especially considering that black, in this case, serves as more than just a fashion statement—it becomes an extension of the film’s atmosphere. Though the user (me) expresses disappointment in not seeing her explore another designer, Gaga’s dedication to theme speaks volumes, staying true to her roots in performance art and creating a cohesive narrative that transcends fashion.
Gaga also opted for Tiffany & Co. jewelry (almost as if expected!).
For her ears, she chose their Schlumberger-designed platinum and 18k yellow-gold on black enamel with diamonds Banana earrings.
Her Vignes necklace hails from the 2022 "Botanica" Blue Book high jewelry collection.
Impressive in scale and presence, it features a suite of oval rubellites of over 330 total carats, oval cabochon emeralds of over 50 total carats and round brilliant diamonds of over 10 total carats – all intertwined by intricate 18k yellow-gold "vines".
Next, she wore the Schlumberger-designed platinum and 18k yellow-gold with diamonds on black enamel bracelet.
Her favorite Pleaser Flamingo-1020 black vinyl platform lace-up ankle boots completed the look.
For the after party, she decided to serve us real 90s goth realness in a vintage black crushed velvet cami maxi dress which she topped off with a Celine classic black wool gabardine blazer with notched lapels and two buttons ($2,750).
Shop:
Celine Classic Blazer ($2,750.00)
She also wore the Oliver Peoples Maysen glossy black acetate sunglasses with silver details ($619).

Newcomer Karina is looking forward to her first official island event. Not wanting to be too ostentatious, she dyed her hair black and chose a gown that for her is subtle in its colors and cut. Her hero piece however is her jewelry. Heirlooms that she managed to secure before her exile, Karina is wearing a diamond and rubellite Chopard necklace, designed with the faintest of snake skin patterns. Don't ask her how much it costs, she'll just laugh it off. She attends the gala on the arm of @lioxmp yet another face from her past.

Stunning cocktail rings are focus of the Winston Candy Collection with gemstones taking the starring role.
Candy Jewels — Harry Winston Brings its Dazzling Best to Texas A Kaleidoscope of Possibilities - by SHELBY HODGE // 04.30.21
While diamonds are the cornerstone of the iconic Harry Winston house of fine jewelry, the master jeweler was just as taken with the brilliant hues of colored stone. His obsession with gemstones has only recently been translated into the Winston Candy and the Winston Kaleidoscope collections
Selections from both of these dazzling assemblages are on display at both the Harry Winston in Dallas’ Highland Park Village and Harry Winston in Houston’s River Oaks District now through May 16.
The elegant whimsy of the Candy Collection and the vibrance of the Kaleidoscope is testament to the enduring creativity of a jewelry power that was founded in New York in 1932. We swooned over Winston Candy when the collection was introduced in Houston in 2019 as the New York-based house began adding a focus on colored stones to its purview. Paraiba tourmalines from Brazil, mandarin garnets, rare spinels and pink sapphires are gathered from around the globe and masterfully combined to create unmatched cocktail rings. With each unique ring, fancy-colored center stones are paired with a combination of diamonds and vibrant gems in complementing shades. Last fall, Harry Winston introduced the truly dazzling Kaleidoscope Collection, inspired by the 1990s Ultimate Kaleidoscope pendant/objet d’art which was created to emphasize the similarities between two different illuminating art forms.
The 32 high-jewelry pendants feature gemstones and diamonds set in symmetrical motifs around a center stone, which is available in a myriad of colors from red rubellites to green tsavorites, to purple sapphires and aquamarines. Each pendant hangs on a dramatic 30-inch gem-set chain with matching stone accents and an added design motif in the back, in lieu of a traditional clasp.
11 remarkably beautiful watches accompany the pendants: 5 high-jewelry pieces & 6 Premier models. Each dial of the 36 mm Premier timepieces reveals a palpable explosion of shapes & patterns of stones set against a mother-of-pearl backdrop. They come in 18-karat gold cases with alligator-leather straps. The high-jewelry watches are set in platinum cases with the a wreath of vibrant gems encircling the dials on the outside of the case. Each comes with 71 brilliant-cut diamonds and are mixed in spiraling patterns in a variation of tsavorites, orange sessartites, aquamarines, rubies and blue, pink and yellow sapphires. Each comes on a satin strap set with a clasp accented in 29 brilliant-cut diamonds.
The high jewelry pendants in the Kaleidoscope Collection feature center stones available in a myriad of colors, from red rubellites to green tsavorites; purple sapphires to aquamarines and more.
Harry Winston introduces its Kaleidoscope Collection of pendants & watches with special showings, including the Winston Candy Collection, in both Dallas and Houston through May 16.
Pieces from the popular Harry Winston gemstone collections are among those on display in the special showings now through May 16.
Harry Winston colored gemstone collections will be on view in both Houston and Dallas through May 16.
Each pendant in the Kaleidoscope Collection hangs on a dramatic 30-inch gem-set chain with matching stone accents & an added design motif in the back, in lieu of a traditional clasp.

Buy Natural Rubellite Gemstones Online
Rubellite belongs to the red or pink variety of tourmaline varying from dark, saturated to medium hues and is often mistaken for Ruby. It was first discovered in the early 18th century in the Ural Mountains of Russia. It derives its name from Latin, meaning ‘tending towards red’. The other names used to describe the gem are Rubelite, Rubylite, Apyrite, and Aphrite. It is the most expensive and rarest of the Tourmaline family and it is sometimes even called red tourmaline or pink tourmaline.
It became a popular choice of gemstone during the Art Deco period in the 1920s and 1930s which made use of bold and lavish colors. It is prized for its intense color and beauty. It gets its color due to the presence of manganese and lithium in its crystal structure.
Renée Newman, author of the book "Gemstone Buying Guide," notes that rubellite's rich color is "as close to ruby as one can get"
It is the birthstone for October and it is also associated with the 8th wedding anniversary. If you're looking for high-quality gems at great prices online, look no further than Gempiece where quality is a top priority.
SOURCES OF RUBELLITE
Rubellite is found in countries across the world including Afghanistan, Brazil, Madagascar, Myanmar, Nigeria, Russia, India, and the United States.
With specific regions come specific colors such as darker red rubellite from Brazil, and bright pink from Nigeria.
Rubellite mined from Nigeria, Angola, India, and Russia is known for good quality.
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF RUBELLITE
Rubellite has a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale making it a durable gemstone for use in jewelry.
It exhibits pleochroism, which indicates its property of appearing in different colors when viewed from different angles.
Rubellite can also exhibit Asterism, an inclusion responsible for the star-like pattern in the gem.
It can be used in fine jewelry and in rings, earrings, and pendants. When paired with diamonds or other colored gemstones, it creates a wonderful contrast and visual appeal. The stone would simply elevate your elegance and pop out your style.
METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF RUBELLITE
Rubellite is said to influence the heart and root chakras, bringing balance and harmony to both physical and emotional state of the wearer.
The healing properties of Rubellite allow better circulation of blood and therefore it facilitates the cure of many ailments such as skin disorders, headaches, digestive problems, sleep disorders, etc.
Rubellite is used in Energy healing practices and so it can be placed under the moonlight, or early morning sunlight to recharge the crystal.
It removes the negative clutter of emotions of its wearer and brings out their truer self by providing them with more courage and strength.
Rubellite is also thought to be a symbol of love and devotion in many cultures. It elevates empathy, compassion, and understanding in its wearers for themselves and for their loved ones. Its energy allows one to be free from any chronic anxiety and helps build stronger and true relationships.
GRADING OF THE GEMSTONE QUALITY
COLOR: The most valued Rubellite is the vivid red variety which is highly sought after. It should be without any orange or brown undertones.
Edward J. Gübelin (renowned gemologist and author of “Internal Worl of Gemstones”) describes its color as "exquisite and lasting color" which is what makes it so valuable and sought after.
CLARITY: Rubellite belongs to type 3 in terms of clarity. Though inclusions and imperfections are common in Rubellite, gems without them are priced higher. Inclusions that cause cat eye in gems also add to the value of the crystal.
CUT: It can be cut into a variety of shapes such as round, oval, cushion, and emerald, and placed in a prong, bezel, or channel settings. But is often preferred to be cut in oval shape by the jewelers to maximize its radiance and color. Faceted or cabbed, they can make a piece of good jewelry when it is well cut.
CARAT: Rubellite is sold by weight like other gemstones and so it determines the carat price. The larger the size, the higher would be the price for a high-quality gemstone.
A few famous rubellites are the Duchess of Windsor’s ruby and diamond bracelet and Rosser Reeves Star Ruby mined in Sri Lanka (138 carats).
You can trust Gempiece to provide an excellent selection of gems without sacrificing quality or affordability. Choose from the array of gemological certificates we provide to determine for yourself the authenticity of the gemstone.
ASTROLOGY SIGNS THAT CORRESPOND WITH RUBELLITE
Rubellite is best suited to the signs Cancer, Sagittarius, and Capricorn.
Caners are naturally loyal and loving and the gem influences their energy to allow trustworthy people around them, build stronger relationships and avoid wasting their endearing kindness on the wrong ones.
The cheerful and outgoing Sagittarians can benefit from the crystal which can influence their intuition to place their trust in the right person and provide them with a calmer mind allowing a wiser decision-making ability.
Capricorn-born is ready to go above expectations and stay determined. The crystal helps them stay more rooted and helps them focus without running out of patience.
If you find yourself attracted to this precious gemstone then be sure to get your hands on it irrespective of your sign. Buy online from the wide range of colors of Rubellite Gempiece provides at the best price.
GEM CARE
Even with a hardness of 7 – 7.5 on the Mohs scale, it is necessary to care for the gem to prevent it from damage. Here are some tips for caring for your rubellite jewelry:
Use clean water, gentle soap, and a soft cloth to clean the gem.
When wearing Rubellite jewelry, avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, such as bleach or chlorine, which can damage the gemstone. It is always a good idea to remove your Rubellite jewelry before engaging in activities that could damage it, such as playing sports or doing heavy manual labor.
Store the gem in a jewelry box protected from heat, humidity, and sun and also from other jewelry than can cause scratches, loss of luster, and other damages.
Rubellite is sensitive to heat and so it is best to not do mechanical cleanings such as steaming and ultrasonic. Also avoid using abrasive cleaners or brushes, which can scratch or damage the gemstone.
Get the jewelry checked by professionals every few years to ensure its good condition.

What is a black sapphire and should I buy one?
The black sapphire is by far one of the most fascinating gems that exist in nature. Though there are many other colors of sapphire, black is without a doubt the most mysterious variety for good reasons.
In this article, we will talk about what is a black sapphire, how much it is worth and if you should buy one for your jewelry collection. Enjoy!
amazonite meaning
What is a black sapphire?
The black sapphire is a variety of sapphire, whose color is black instead of the typical blue. In fact, the word “sapphire” comes from the Greek word for blue and refers to the bluish-purple color of these gems.
Black sapphire properties
Black sapphire is a type of sapphire that has been named specifically because of its black color. There are also other types of stones which are known to possess similar characteristics, like black onyx, black spinel and black diamond, and they are at times mistaken for black sapphires.
It is made of corundum and is the hardest natural substance (9 on the Mohs scale of hardness) after diamonds and the extremely rare gem moissanite.
Sapphire colors
What color is black sapphire? Though most people think sapphires are blue, a sapphire can be any color but red. Black sapphires have a color range from charcoal to deep black, with the best stones being very dark.
Besides a limited range of main colors, the black sapphire often has hues of blue, purple, and even sometimes orange seen within the stone.
What is rubellite? Rubellite jewelry, meaning, healing properties and uses

The stone is often opaque, and the luster can range from sub-metallic to vitreous.
Size
Black sapphires are found in various sizes, with some of the largest ever mined coming from Australia. Most of the sapphires that are said to be truly black are mined in Eastern Australia.
Structure
This beautiful stone forms in a variety of different crystal structures, among all of which a hexagonal crystal system is most common. The typical crystals that form in this system are known as “lonsdaleite”.
Cutting
Black sapphires are sometimes cut in briolette cabochons. This cutting technique will help to prevent less-desirable colors and patterns from being seen in the jewelry works. Many black sapphires contain inclusions too, which are often bubble-like in nature.

Origins of the black sapphire stone
Most black sapphires exist in nature, though synthetic ones do exist as well. The best black sapphires are mined in Australia, with the Gabriola mine being an especially famous mine for producing some of the world’s best stones.
Many large black sapphires are also mined in Thailand, which is known to be a good source for them. Some of the finest large and extremely dark purple-black sapphires come from that area.
